Colon Cancer Statistics: Lifetime Risk

Based on 2001-2003 rates, 5.56 percent of men and women (or 1 in 18 men and women) born today will be diagnosed with colon cancer at some point in their lives. These statistics are referred to as the lifetime risk of developing cancer.
