When you leave the hospital you will be given specific instructions for diet, driving, activity level, medication, follow-up appointments and any further restrictions necessary. Your healthcare provider will also let you know of any symptoms that require immediate medical attention.
It is normal to experience some mild cramping or bloating from the air that was placed into your colon during the examination. This will quickly improve with the passage of gas. It is normal and expected to have more gas than usual if air is used during the procedure.
