Despite the current sterile techniques used for all procedures, infections are always a possibility. The treatment options will vary depending on the location of the infection. Infections can range from very minor ones that are only treated with antibiotics with or without a few extra days in the hospital to very major infections requiring a surgery to treat the infection.
