Now, let's discuss what will happen on the day of your procedure.

At your scheduled time healthcare professionals will greet and assist you if needed, as you change into a gown and lie on a bed or table. Your privacy will be maintained at all times and the staff will make every effort to keep you warm and comfortable.

Though rarely necessary, drugs to make you calm and sleepy may be given before and during your procedure to make you more comfortable.

From the table in the procedure room, you will see several pieces of equipment, including the television screen and some tables of sterile instruments. During this time, you may also hear many strange noises, such as loud, high and low pitched beeps. These are all normal and are no cause for concern.
