Side Effects of Zaltrap

Just like any chemotherapy medicine, Zaltrap can cause side effects, some of which can be significant and potentially serious. In fact, most people will experience some type of side effect during treatment. Talk with your healthcare provider about ways to prevent or lessen reactions to this drug.
Some of the more common side effects seen with Zaltrap include but are not limited to:
  • A decrease in white blood cell counts, which increases the risk for infections
  • Diarrhea
  • An increase in protein in the urine
  • Increased liver enzymes
  • Mouth sores and inflammation.
